What is the differance between making a back full restore disc and making a backup file disc?

is it the same??

i am not sure what i am copying now, but it is needing 2 dvds.

was wishing to make a full recovery disc and think i followed the instructions okay.

the reason i am doing this is there was no full recovery disc that came with this lap top.

somewhere i pressed something that said update back up files every month or week or daily.

i dont know if this is the same thing or not.

please explain the differance,

thanks for your answers! What is the differance between making a back full restore disc and making a backup file disc?
restore disk is for re-installing your system in case your computer crashes, but if you already have the disk to install your system then dont bother with itWhat is the differance between making a back full restore disc and making a backup file disc?
backing up files is copying all files that you have on your computer so none of it gets lost. a recovery disc is a disc that starts your computer from factory setting which means all of your stuff will be gone and it would be like when you first got the computer. hope this helps
A restore disc is what you create so that you can restore your system files, i.e. operating system, should anything go wrong, whllst the other is merely backing up your data files, which you should always get into the habit of doing on a regular basis.
