What exactly is the difference between regular kissing and making out?

I have been wondering this lately...





I have always thought of regular kissing as closed mouth kissing and making out is open mouth(French kissing)





am I right?What exactly is the difference between regular kissing and making out?
Here is what both of them are:





Regular Kissing:


Lip to Lip contact, usually closed mouth, but may sometimes be open mouthed with a small amount of tongue, usually lasts for a few seconds. If tongue is used, it's usually a slight ';touch';, where the tongue touches the other's lips.





Making out:


Lip to Lip, and Tongue contact involved, usually opened mouth, kissing usually lasts a few minutes. The tongues are inserted into each other's mouths.

making out involves pretty much your whole body. your tongue is usually like partying in the other persons mouth, your feeling each other, and whatever else you want.
