Why do all household cleaning products now have spray tops making them too high for storage?

I cannot understand why these tops have to be added making storage difficult. Also why are tops on bleach tops impossible to turn for most women? Children open them easily but adults can't!!! So much for safety. In Spain identical bottles of bleach have the old screw tops thank goodness. Nanny state again taking over child protection instead of parents being careful as I was with my three years ago. No accidents heard of either. Why do all household cleaning products now have spray tops making them too high for storage?
Yeah it's silly isn't it. You end up putting them on their sides and they are more likely to spill. What is it with these huge jumbo sizes and trigger tops. I've actually started just buying economy disinfectant and adding it to hot water like the good old days rather than being distracted into buying these sparkly shiny big bottles. It works just as well even if I do have to use a sponge and a basin rather than a snazzy bright bottle. Why do all household cleaning products now have spray tops making them too high for storage?
Bigger cupboards is the answer.
I agree, if they were smaller and chunkier at the bottom they wouldn't get knocked over so easily either. Can't say about bleach. I can usually get the tops off, don't know about children, I never even bought the stuff when mine were small. Agatha Christie had quite a bit to say on the subject of bleach NOT being a good thing, and she was a pharmacist who stated that nurses never used the stuff at all. But of course, that was then.
I would assume that these tops are higher in order to allow for more product and for the bleach question you asked why is it easy for children to open the bottles and not the adults well this is because as we age we get weaker muscles and children are just good at defying everything this is why they get hurt the most Good Luck !
